In some ways, Yes Style is like a lot of online retailers. Websites have gotten a lot more sophisticated in recent years. Yes Style meets the level of expectations that I have for online sellers.

Free Standard Shipping

Yes Style offers free standard shipping on every order. Standard shipping can take quite a while to travel from Hong Kong to the United States (more on that in the Criticisms section), so you might want to upgrade to expedited shipping.

Elite Club Memberships

If you like to shop as much as I do, then you will want to get into one of the Yes Style Elite Clubs. Each level of membership gives you ways to save money on your orders. Currently, I have a Silver membership, but I’m getting pretty close to upgrading to a Gold membership, which is where you really start saving money.

There are four levels of Elite Club membership. The one you can get into depends on how many stylebucks you have. (You receive stylebucks when you buy items from Yes Style. Every real dollar that you spend earns you one stylebuck.)

Here are the features for each level of membership.

You have to keep buying from Yes Style to keep your Elite Club membership. Each membership lasts one year. After the year is up, you can only stay at your current level if you have enough stylebucks saved. If you don’t have enough, then you may slip down a level or two.

Yes Style Prices

Like a lot of companies based in Asia, Yes Style offers prices that are far lower than anything I’ve seen in the United States or Europe. I guess it’s because Asian companies have easier access to inexpensive materials and labor. Whatever the reason, Yes Style takes advantage of its location to give consumers all over the world access to low-priced, high-quality goods.

Yes Style doesn’t stop at having low prices, though. It also hosts sales that will help you knock even more money off of prices.

Flash sales offer the biggest savings. I recently bought a new winter coat that was 40% off the regular price. The only bad thing about flash sales is that they don’t last very long. You only have a couple days to take advantage of them. If you miss the deal, it’s gone.

The good news is that the site has flash sales pretty often. If you’re really trying to save money, wait a few days to see what else is put on sale. There will probably be something there that you want to buy.

Criticisms of Yes Style

Well, no one is perfect. That includes Yes Style.

My biggest criticism is that it can take a long time for packages to reach my home from Hong Kong. I know that this probably isn’t fair. After all, the package is getting shipped from the other side of the planet. It’s almost some sort of miracle that they can arrive at all!

But I’ve been spoiled by sites like Amazon that can deliver packages within a day or two. IT probably isn’t fair, but that’s how it is.

If you choose standard shipping for your Yes Style purchase, you should expect to wait at least a week for it to arrive. It might even take two weeks. I don’t think I have ever had to wait longer than that.

Once, I got really worried that my package wasn’t going to arrive at all. I contacted the company and asked about it. I just wanted to make sure that it had actually shipped and was on its way. The company’s rep told me that my package had indeed shipped and should be at my place within a couple days. The rep said that the package had gotten held in customs.

I’m not really sure why customs would want to hold a package of cute dresses, but I guess they’re just doing their jobs like everyone else. Oh, well. The prices are still so low that I’m willing to put up with the slow delivery times.

Of course, you can significantly reduce the amount of time it takes for packages to reach you by choosing the expedited shipping option. I just don’t want to pay for it.

I’ve never used the expedited shipping option, but I hear that packages will arrive within three or four days. If you’re willing to spend a few extra bucks on shipping, it sounds like a good option.

Customer Support for Yes Style

I’ve only contacted customer support once. It was a fine experience. I don’t have any complaints about it.

Yes Style only uses email for customer services. That actually makes sense to me. Since they’re based in Hong Kong, they probably speak English and Chinese. They don’t want customers calling in languages they can’t understand.

I don’t remember exactly how long it took customer service to respond to my question. It was probably just a day or two. If it had been longer than that, I would probably remember it.

Conclusion

Yes Style has changed the way that I buy clothes. I used to be like the typical woman who would head to the mall on weekends to try on new outfits. I don’t really do that very much these days. Since I discovered Yes Style, it just seems silly to spend so much money on items that I can get cheap online.

Of course, there are times when I still shop at local stores. If I’m going to a wedding, for instance, I’ll usually go to a store to make sure my dress fits perfectly. That’s the kind of occasion when you expect to spend a good bit of money, though, so I don’t mind.
